This position in Shareholder Services is ideal for the person who seeks to deepen his or her skills in portfolio management and advice delivery, has knowledge of the asset management business, is very detail oriented, intellectually curious, and enjoys a very fast paced/high energy work environment. This role involves front line communication with our institutional partners and is responsible for assisting the portfolio management team in monitoring transactions and implementing advice.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the ongoing execution and review of daily Portfolio Rebalancing, Account Reconciliation, Trade Order Management, Trade Execution and Trade Settlement functions.
  • Perform ongoing Portfolio Management Audits and help design new analytical tools and metrics to monitor and ensure fiduciary quality while maintaining efficiency of transactions.
  • Assist with the management of the Security Master, Model Portfolios, and Client Guidelines within the Portfolio Accounting and Trade Order Management Systems.
  • Assist with processing trade corrections, ad-hoc reporting, and other projects as assigned. 
  • Assist in the design and creation of specifications for processes, tests, and tools to support and scale the portfolio management and service functions.

Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency with tools of the trade, including Excel, Portfolio Accounting System(s) (PAS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) operations and custodial portals such as Pershing NetX360.
  • Understanding of ERISA retirement plan structures and features, as well as portfolio theory and financial instruments.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Series 65 and/or desire to pursue CFA charter or other investment related certifications is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Work Experience: 

  • 3-4 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
