Position Summary:

Responsible for the strategic leadership for the Company to deliver a highly competitive benefit plan that promotes and supports improved health and financial security at a cost and value that helps us attract and retain the most talented people in our industry. Continue to manage the rate of increase in costs that enable the Company to compete and meet the value expectations of our Customers and Shareholders. Role model and demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for total company benefit strategy and delivery for associates.
  • Responsible for all health, welfare, retirement, deferred benefits and strategy for the Company-sponsored benefit plans and associates represented by collective bargaining agreements.
  • Responsible for appropriating benefit plan-related strategy and implementation with labor contracts and assisting and consulting in negotiations.
  • Responsible for the entire Corporate Benefits department.
  • Collaborate, network and negotiate with all Shareholders and Vendors associated with planning and delivery of the company’s benefit plans.
  • Communicate the strategic delivery of a Corporate Benefits Plan to all levels of the Company.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

    Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years in a management position in a Corporate Benefits department
  • Supervised Corporate Health & Welfare or Corporate Pension Plan
  • Highest level of leadership skills, knowledge and experience in Health Care and Pension Plan delivery, funding, design, facilitation, education, communication and compliance

    Desired Previous Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Held position as Director or equivalent
  • Experience with unionized/organized work groups, union contract negotiations and working with Taft Hartley Fund and Company benefit plans
